Seattle is a gorgeous city in the Pacific Northwest (PNW). I lived there in the 1990s and 2000s. I lived in Seattle for a much of that time, but I also lived in other parts of the Puget Sound which most people consider indistinguishable from "Seattle". I was living in Bellevue when Kurt Cobain killed himself, and I didn't know the difference between Madrona and Madison Park. I might have been listening to In Utero on my CD-ROM player at work (at Asymetrix) when I learned about his death. I'm sure I annoyed the hell out of the people in the cubes outside of my office there because my door didn't muffle the sound from my speakers that much.
